ABSTRACT

   India is an agricultural based country. More than seventy percent of population in our country depends on agricultural.

    In early days people used to approach the experts to seek their advance in order to know which type of crops are to be cultivated. some times human experts may not be available with in the reach of the farmer. In this case seek of their advice is expensive and time consuming. To avoid such problem computerization is needed to that system. The newly formed computerized system is called "CONTINGENCY CROP PLANNING EXPERT SYSTEM".

   The CONTINGENCY CROP PLANNING EXPERT SYSTEM asks questions as a human expert arrives to a decision and the displays the results on the screen.

   The question of the system mainly depends on two goals

       1. Alternate crop planning
      2. Zone wise crop planning

  on the selection of first goal it results all the other alternative crops which can be grown in place of Tobacco or Cotton

  on selection of second goal it results variety of crops to be cultivated according to areas and situation and season etc.,
